Jacobs have introduced Photographic Equipment Hire as an exciting new service, offered through selected stores. The products available for hire range from a Canon 500mm to a Quantum portable lighting kit. Manufacturers covered by our hire department include Canon, Nikon and Quantum.

We understand that there may be many reasons why you wish to hire equipment, whether for a specific assignment or as a stopgap while your product is being repaired. We can work with you to understand your project requirements, recommend equipment and make advanced bookings. You might be surprised just how little the cost of hire is.

If your mind is not made up as to which product to purchase why not ‘Try before you buy’. You can hire the item you are interested in and if you decide it’s the right item for you, we will take the hire charge off the purchase price of the new product.

HIRE WHILE PRODUCTS OFF FOR REPAIR
If you are a Pro photographer and a vital piece of equipment gets broken, then give us a call
and we will offer you a product for hire, while yours is away for repair. If your repair takes longer than normal, then special hire rates will be offered, to help soften the blow. We will also give you 10% off your repair invoice, if you are hiring and repairing through us.

This service is not only for those of you, who live and breathe photography, but also for those that might need a long lens, for that once in a lifetime safari holiday or you might need some studio lighting, for that family portrait you been promising to do. How it works:

1) Choose the items you want to hire. If you are not sure what you need, then phone our Pro Sales department and they will help you decide.

2) Book the items for the time you need them and we will quote you the price and availability on the spot.

3) Go to the store, pay your deposit and take the goods away. Available in selected stores. Same Day - New Oxford St, London, within 48 hours – Edinburgh, Manchester, London Road Leicester, Cardiff, Newcastle. Other branches by arrangement.
